The Li-ion Solar Panel provides a safe, convenient charging option, reducing end-user maintenance for Li-ion powered wireless motorized shade systems. Compatible with all battery-driven Roller, Roman, and Pleated motors, the Li-ion Battery Solar Panel is designed to provide batteries with a trickle feed of energy. Please note that the solar panel is not intended to charge empty batteries, so ensure they are fully charged before use. It is designed for DC7.4V shade motors, not for 5V shade motors, as general 5V motors are not designed to charge above 5.5V.

The mini solar panel features a DC 3.51.35 port and a DC5.52.1 male connector, making installation a simple plug-and-play process that does not require an electrician.

For direct-to-glass installation, choose a position on the interior side of the glass and position the Li-ion Solar Panel photovoltaic cells in direct sunlight, ensuring there are no obstructions. Do not install on tinted or Low E glass, as any glass limiting light transmission to less than 65% is not recommended for optimal performance.

Several factors must be considered when installing the solar panel. The panel must be exposed to direct sunlight, and the sunlight must be able to transmit through the window opening. Windows facing East, South, or West provide increased sun exposure. Only one solar panel is required per motorized window covering, and it should be mounted on the inside of the window. Remove any window tinting from the solar panel area and check the environment for potential obstructions, such as overhangs, deep roof eaves, awnings, insect screens, large trees or vegetation, and high-rise buildings.
