The Zigbee-enabled Blinds Motor works directly with Alexa (no hub needed). To prevent self-discharging, the motor is delivered in the off state, so be sure to turn the power button on before charging and installing.
The RF controller is paired with the Zigbee blind motor via RF technology, allowing you to say goodbye to troublesome manual blinds. If your window is too high to charge or without an outlet, we suggest a Solar Panel (optional).
To connect a Zigbee motor to Alexa, follow these steps: 1) Press the motor setting button for "four short and one long," 2) Add devices through the Alexa App (no hub needed - connect directly), 3) Tap on Devices, the + button, and choose Add Device, 4) Choose Other, then the Zigbee logo, 5) Tap Discover Devices, and if "Window Blinds" is displayed, the device is connected successfully.
The Zigbee Roller Shade Motor provides a clean Alexa experience (with the Alexa smart hub) - no more Broadlink or RF repeater required. It's rechargeable, so no more battery wands hanging around. With normal usage (up and down once a day), a fully charged battery should last 1 to 3 months.
If the connection screen doesn't show successful, please go back to the device distribution network, tap "All device" to check for the device, and choose "Find new device." If "Raex smart device" and "Window Blinds" are displayed, the device is connected successfully.
